Overview: Embark on an unforgettable adventure with our Youth Big Canoe Experience—a day trip designed to connect young explorers with the beauty of Pitt Lake and the stunning Widgeon Creek area. This experience is open to two age groups (12-14 and 14-16) and is a fantastic opportunity to get outdoors, challenge yourself, and explore nature from the calm of a big canoe.

Participants will begin their journey at the Pitt Lake boat launch, where they will board our large, stable canoe and paddle towards Widgeon Creek. The trip includes time to explore the creek, enjoy a break for lunch, and take a short, scenic hike to the falls, where participants can immerse themselves in the serenity of this natural wonder. After the hike, they will paddle back to the boat launch, reflecting on the adventure as they return.

• Dates for Ages 12-14: July 8th, July 24th, August 5th, August 21st
• Dates for Ages 14-16: July 10th, July 22nd, August 7th, August 19th
• Time: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM (pick up promptly at 4:00 pm)
• Cost: $59.95 + gst per participant
• Max Capacity: 18 participants per session (additional spots may be opened if capacity is reached)
• Location: Pitt Lake Boat Launch, Pitt Meadows, BC

What to Bring:

• A packed lunch, snacks, and water for the day (participants are responsible for their own food)
• Comfortable clothing for paddling and hiking (waterproof layers recommended)
• Sunscreen, hat, and any personal items necessary for a day outdoors
