Prepare for the ultimate outdoor challenge with the Gold Duke of Edinburgh Adventurous Journey! This advanced-level expedition is designed to test your resilience, leadership, and teamwork as you take on an extended outdoor adventure.
The Gold Adventurous Journey includes:
- Practice Journey: A two-day experience where participants fine-tune their navigation, paddling, and camping skills, ensuring they’re ready for the next level.
- Qualifying Journey: A four-day expedition where participants put their abilities to the test in a real-world setting, navigating the breathtaking waters and wilderness of Pitt or Alouette Lake.
This journey pushes participants to achieve their personal best while fostering camaraderie and unforgettable memories. From leading a paddling route to perfecting campfire cooking, participants will leave with valuable life skills and a deep sense of accomplishment.
Upon registration, you’ll receive a full information package with all necessary details, including gear lists, waivers, and a link to the virtual preliminary meeting where we’ll review expectations and answer your questions.
Gear Note: Participants must bring their own personal gear, including tents, sleeping bags, sleeping mats, tarps, ropes, mess kits (utensils, bowls, cups), and camp stools. Ridge Wilderness Adventures provides all cooking equipment, group gear, and food.
