🏕 Calling all youth ages 15-16! 🏕
How about the adventure of a lifetime right here in your own Lower Mainland backyard at Pitt Lake?
Pack your dry bags and join the Ridge Wilderness team of experienced backcountry canoe guides for a 3-day, 2-night canoe trip on the incredible waters of Pitt Lake. No paddling experience? No problem! Participants will join forces in our big canoes to learn all the basics of paddling, camp selection and setup, basic first aid, fire building, tarp and rope use, shelter building, camp cooking, and so much more! During the days you will paddle your way to the mud flats, possibly hike Widgeon Falls, or an incredible paddle to Osprey! Activities will be dependent on weather and group participation.
The trip cost is $399.95+gst per person, which includes food, canoe gear, guide services, cooking equipment, tents, sleeping bags, sleeping mat, small and large dry bags, mess kits, tarp & rope, and camp stool! You just pack your personal items and let us worry about the rest.
Location: Pitt Lake, BC
Ages: 15-16
Time: Trip commences at 9:30am on day 1 and ends at 2:00pm on day 3.
Activities include:
- visit the mud flats, where there are big open super slippery mud flats for kms
- hike at Widgeon (dependent on camping location)
- trip to osprey (dependent on camping location)
- Skill building activities: Camp set up/selection, Basic first aid, fire building, tarp and rope use and shelter building, camp cooking, canoeing, hiking and exploration!
